Episode 20: Simplify, Localize, Unplug

Play

Episode 20 was recorded at Christopher Martins in New Haven as the New York Giants battled Miami on the big screen.

I was joined by my cohost, Duo Dickinson, along with Brian Virtue, the co-owner and manager of Christopher Martins, and our guest conversationalists, Joanne Kahan, Marianne O’Hare, and Cynthia Lyon, band leader and keyboard player for Eight To The Bar.

We talked about live music, smartphones (again!) and Thanksgiving traditions. And I loved Duo’s question at the end: “What is the mission in our lives the reflects the values we have?” I think this cuts to the core of EVERYTHING!

What do you think?

How do you live a good life?

In the 19 gatherings we’ve held so far, we keep coming back to the same question: How do you live a good life?

(Oh, and recently another question has surfaced: ‘Who makes the best hot dogs in New Haven – Hummels or Ferraros?’. To me, it’s like your kids; you love them all the same, and you have them for dinner as often as possible.)

As for the good life question… HELP!

The Barber Poll

Which questions(s) from our conversation at Sitar should we crowdsource?
