How do you avoid eating and drinking too much at parties?

We talked about eating fruit. We talked about alternating glasses of water with alcoholic beverages. What we did not discuss was “Will Power”.

(Mr. Power is a fellow I have never had the privilege of knowing.)

SO, How do YOU avoid eating and drinking too much at parties?

What should you do when someone gives you an unexpected gift?

If you’re a published author, like Duo Dickinson or Randye Kaye, you go grab a book from the car and autograph it for them.

This is a great tactic… unless the person already HAS your book. (Right, Duo?!?)

SO, what should you do when someone gives you an unexpected gift?

We open our home to you!

At Delaney’s Restaurant & Tap Room, we believe that the greatest pleasure of dining is the coming together of great friends, service, food, and beverages. When what you’re drinking meshes with what you’re eating, it’s pure magic. And when you throw in good friends and great music… Heaven! If you’re anything like us, the idea of a fresh-baked cookie washed down with a tall glass of milk is enough to send you over the edge — or maybe a nice cool beer served with a warm pretzel is more your style? Either way, you’re in for a treat at Delaney’s Restaurant & Tap Room as you discover beer and wine pairings with real, American cuisine that will make your mouth sing!

What should you do when you can’t remember someone’s name?

We recounted past “senior moments” in Episode 25, as we commiserated about being unable to remember the names of people whose names we really should remember.

Duo recalled the time that he forgot Cindy’s name at a charity book signing. I told him that with a memory like that, he could run for elected office!

What should you do when you can’t remember someone’s name?

Who should you tip at the holidays, and how much?

This week we discussed the paper delivery method for obtaining a tip: the inclusion, in some cases, of a self addressed envelope. (Which does make showing your gratitude just that much easier!)

Susannah Bailin advocated tipping anyone who can help you when problems arise.

How about you – who should you tip at the holidays, and how much?

After how many months of dating should you introduce your beloved to your relatives?

I posed this question at Chips because this particular “stick” comes to a much sharper point during the holiday season.

(We heard one story of introductions being made at a GRADUATION! Ouch…)

What do you think – after how many months of dating should you introduce your beloved to your relatives?
