For our 70th “in person”conversation, we’ll be talking about “Germs”, which came to mind because we’re having a really bad flu season, and because experts are now talking about the highly contagious (and extremely unpleasant) norovirus.
Gathered around a table at the newly opened Lenny and Joe’s A Fish Tale‘s new Long Wharf restaurant (over some pretty amazing lobster rolls) were Physician Assistant Lynette White, television journalist turned financial advisor Ted Koppy, and one of my favorite brother-sister teams in the free world, Ann and Gerry McGuire.
From Lynette White: I live in Bethany with my husband Robert and my two young children. I have been a Physician Assistant for twelve years. I Graduated from the Quinnipiac Physician Assistant Program in 2000 with a Masters of Health Science and a Physician Assistant degree.
I passed my National Certification Board later that year. I am currently employed with General Practitioners of Bethany, Branford and Hamden. I am also an Adjunct Clinical Professor for both Quinnipiac and Bridgeport Universities.
Gerry McGuire took his love of history, trivia, comedy, literature, music and film and turned himself into a pop culture quoting, chat machine. He is like Cliff Claven from Cheers if Cliff Claven was stunningly handsome, awesomely funny and unbelievably humble.
He fancies himself what the French would describe as a raconteur or what Americans call, a loud mouth. Gerry writes for Milford Living Magazine, sings in the Celtic rock band The Butcher Boys and is a stay at home dad.
Ted Koppy is a former TV Journalist, who has covered the health and wellness beat at several TV stations, including WTNH in New Haven. Since 2011, he has been working as a licensed and registered Financial Advisor at Waddell & Reed in Hamden.
A professional writer and editor for thirty years, Ann McGuire is a well-practiced word broker dealing in industries as diverse as television, technology, and personal development. She has a day job running marketing communications for Tangoe in Orange, and spends part of her spare time as the editorial director of Milford Living Magazine and a handful of other small publications.
She lives in New Haven with her very silly husband, tries to take good pictures (with varying degrees of success), has an affinity for time travel novels and string cheese, and thinks hot stone massages are the closest thing to heaven on earth.
